Announcements
Covid-19
Due to the ongoing Corona Virus crisis, Girl Scout troops will not be meeting in person and all Service Unit in person events are cancelled. In this time of social physical distancing, please consider having your troops get together. There are many activities they can do together. Stay safe! |
New 2018 Online Registration system!
Girl Scouts is requiring an open online registration system, where troops with less than the required minimum of girls will have registration open to all. Please read the file "opportunity catalog procedure" under "For Leaders" in the Registration section (near the bottom) |
New Outdoor Badges - Free files!
Girls have spoken and the GS USA has adopted a new Outdoor Badge for each level. These badge topics were selected by girls in national voting. The badge requirements files are free - They are here under "For Leaders" in the badge and journey section. You can also find them on the GS USA site and a link from the council site. |
Gold, Silver, Bronze Awards
We have added a section under Documents, For Leaders with help for Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Right now it includes lists of recent successful Gold and Silver awards, and a link to the area on the Council website. Don't let your girls miss out on the opportunity to grow their leadership skills while helping our community by earning these top awards! |
Volunteer Forms on Council Website - Check it out
Ever wonder where you can find the latest version of trip forms, girl health forms, photo release form, insurance, etc.? They are all available in a handy place called Volunteer Forms on the GSofC&SNJ website: Useful troop items like the Girl Health History, Council Cares and the Troop Financial Summary can be found under Troop/Group Forms on this page. As these forms frequently change, we generally will not repost the files here. It is a good idea to check that you have the latest form every so often before using it. |
Seasons of Service Patch
Does your troop do service projects throughout the year? Council has a "Seasons of Service Patch" that the girls can earn by doing projects in different seasons. Check out the Document (under For Leaders) for details. |

Girls Scouts is a fun youth development program for girls, that teaches
girls “courage, confidence and character to make the work a better place.” They
can make new friends, broaden their horizons, and develop leadership skills in
an engaging setting. Girls can join scouting anywhere from kindergarten
through 12th grade. If you have a daughter that might be interested, you can
check out the overall Girl Scouting program at www.girlscouts.org. If you are interested and live in
West Windsor or Plainsboro, send an email to girlscoutswwp@verizon.net. Please include the following
information and we’ll work on finding a spot for your daughter in Girl Scouts.
We work on organizing troops and placing girls into troops over the summer. The
sooner you ask, the more likely it is she will get a spot!
Girl Scouts is a terrific program for girls in kindergarten through 12th grade. We help girls broaden their horizons, learn new skills, make friends, and develop their leadership abilities, all while having fun. If you are interested, please email the following information to girlscoutswwp@verizon.net. Girls name Grade in the fall School will attend in the fall Parent name Parent email Parent telephone How parent can help? (troop leader or assistant leader, meeting chaperone, trip chaperone, driver for trips, cookie sale manager, other-not sure) Any special requests: Girl Scouts is a volunteer based organization. We rely on parents to lead troops, chaperone meetings & trips, drive for trips, manage the troop’s cookie sale, etc. What we need most are troop leaders. Being a troop leader is very rewarding; it is a great experience to share with your daughter. Please let us know how you think you might be able to help. Also, if you have any special requests, please let us know. For example, if your daughter really wants to be in the same troop as a specific girl, let us know. Be aware that most of our troops serve a single grade. So, this typically is only feasible if the girls are the same grade. Also, if your daughter has a lot of schedule limitations, you can share that with us, so we don’t assign her to a troop that meets at a time that doesn’t work. WWP Girl Scouts |
